Title: Interesting collaberation on a cover that i did a while back
Post by: Transcend on September 18, 2010, 12:47:05 AM
One of the members on songcrafters took a liking to the cover of the 28 days later theme i did a month or so ago and wrote and recorded some vocals on it.

I dont quite get what the lyrics are about which could be because im majorly worn out and about to go to bed.

But i like the extra atmosphere the vocals have added.

thought i would post it up here to get your feedback and thoughts.

Cool, like it :D

I'm quite a fan of orh's stuff anyway. I don't now the original, but I like your cover.

Lyrically I don't get all the references, but there seems to be a lot of songcrafter members mentioned - "mike", I think, is Sir Harry Flashman, plays bass in one of orh's virtual bands (and runs the site now), sounds like he's bought a new Fender Jazz recently and it hasn't arrived yet!; "geir" is, er, Geir, a very talented songwriter/musician, and Tharek is Osckilo, a one-man creative whirlwind.

Having said that, as usual, orh paints pictures in my head and invokes emotions whether I understand what he's on about or not!... and it goes well with your backing.

Thanks for posting, I was just about wander over to songcrafters anyway - I'll check out what else you've been doing :D

I asked him what the lyrics were in reference to

and he said its about the next songcrafters meet and greet which is a white water rafting trip to norway so it now all makes perfect sense and the part about the t shirt with the monkey is a gift for geir
