... made its way back on to my pedalboard for rehearsal tonight, and I sounded F*CKING HUGE!!!
Made SUCH a difference to the rehearsal!
Really great pedal, that one.

I keep telling people this ;)

I really don't need a new overdrive pedal, but all the tonerider hype might just force me into trying out the american overdrive.

If you've already got a nice Tubescreamer type, then don't bother.
If you haven't, and want to try one, the Tonerider is the best bang for buck out there:
* £50
* True bypass
* Solid metal enclosures
* High build quality
* Great tone!

If I may ask Dave ; have you tried any of the other er - 'products' from that same manufacturer - i.e. the ones that do not require batteries ? :wink:

I would also recommend the Tonerider British Distortion - instant Led Zepplin and, with the drive turned low and the volume up, an great fuzz box type sound.
As to their other products - I had a Mule-a-like when I was saving up to put two mules in my Esprit and they were not bad, certainly as good as any mass market after market pickups, but the mule beat it in the end by a long way.

I've used their single Tele pickups and the Mule-a-like.
I liked them.

Mine replaced an OCD and I prefer it to the OCD. Would only swap it for something with an extra boost switch and more EQ options (Like a BB Plus)
But as a boost and grit pedal they are great, better than the TS-9 I had....

Was it the mule-a-likes that you had in the Sig LP that you sold me?
If so they are very good value for money.

Yep, they're the ones.

Yep, I have one of those too. Great EVH tones with the gain cranked too, and cheaper than a Crunch Box ;)
