After freeing myself of the line 6 UX1 (that I only used as a tuner) I decided to get a pedal tuner. They seem to have good reviews wherever you look.
It's not really something I would have chosen to spend my money on but seeing as I needed a tuner I thought I would go for one with good reviews and is nice and compact.

I used one of those back in the sauna BKP meet. And it was pretty spiffy and it cut off like that *clicks fingers* (which is a good thing)
-
Mine has been fine, had it for about 18 months, practising or gigging weekly.
The Korg DT-10 has a buffer though, might be useful at the start of your chain. I got bit by the true bypass bug but in hindsight might have been better with a buffered tuner...

i use one and find it works very well, haven't had any problems with it.

I've had my Pitchblack for about 3 years (maybe more) now and never had a problem.
I have it on what was my main gigging/large pedalboard, with a MI Audio Boost N' Buff as a buffer before it.
I've also had a BOSS TU2 for about 10 years now and never had a problem with that neither
-
its good, but i've had bits fall off mine from time to time
-
I've had one for about a year. Previously used Boss tuners. I much prefer the Pitchblack - it seems to be more accurate and stable and find the 'mute when tuning' very useful.
-
its great! one of only 3 pedals I use (Boss NS2, MXR EQ and Korg Pitchblack). It does what it says on the tin and hasn't broken yet, you can also power other 9v pedals from it using a daisychain (which you can buy off ebay cheaply!)

Well, the pedal arrived today. Problem is that I was out and now need to rearrange delivery :x
The other problem is that it was sent by DPD. Trying to navigate their website is a complete nightmare. I've asked for it to be delivered on Wednesday - I hope that's not too difficult for them. Anyone used them before?
-
Aren't DPD the ones who usually deliver new credit cards?
They're not too bad, they usually let you change the delivery address which is more than some do.
Or I may be thinking of someone else entirely. :?

I think they are the ones Philly. I'd rebooked the delivery for Wednesday next week as Jane was "at home all day". Shortly after I clicked on confirm she said that she was out in the morning. I now can't change the delivery address or day :x
Will have to see if I can get her Mum to house sit for us!

The pedal arrived today. I was actually pretty impressed with their service. They emailed me at 07:53 this morning and said the parcel will be with me between 14:22 and 15:22. It arrived at 14:29.
First impressions are that it is a well made pedal and pretty darn accurate.

Damn, I would've said get the Boss TU-2. Mine has been thrown into vans, cars, trailers, been used at over 100 gigs, used at loads of practices, had beer, cider and all sorts thrown all over it AND been left covered in sick over night and it STILL works! Boss pedals are tanks!
Hope you like the pitchblack thought.

i just got a pitchblack too. Gotta say it has a great design and looks the absolute dogs danglies but with its very simple use options i fail to see why it costs £55 when a normal tuner is under £15

I've got a Pitchblack on my small board, but my tuner of choice is the Korg DT-10. Solid as a rock and super accurate.
It has a buffer, which may put people off, but I needed one in my chain anyway so it's perfect :)
