Crawler in my HSS-strat (swampash, maple neck, ebony fretboard) sound magnificent on the drivechannel of my Orange Rockerverb 50 (6V6's) . I use a distortionpedal to get a searing, sustaining solosound, the Emma Reezafratzitz. Great pedal, but the Crawler is thick, the Orange very creamy and round and the Reeza round and thick too. Sometimes I would like to have a more agressive sound to press out pinched harmonics easier. Any suggestions for another od/dist.pedal that will do that? Bear in mind that a lot of od-pedals make the Orange sound smaller (The Reeza doesn't). That is not what I am looking for.

Emma has launched a reeza II model which has hi and lo controls instead of a tone control. I don't know if this would make any differences used with your amp though.

Guv'nor. :)

I had a Guv'nor, but the Reeza is way better. The Reeza II sounds the same as the I, not much difference in eq-range. I will check out the new Emma Pisdywaudot in front of the clean channel, but this isn't the same as pumping up the drivechannel. Any experiences with Barber and BB Xotic here?

The Xotic EP Booster could be the one to add the sizzle and punch you're looking for, check the vid I did with my Mk50:

I saw your vid, great tone. Does the Ep Booster adds drive or just smacks the amp with extra input?

Doesn't add drive, it's a booster so it adds volume and grit, pushes the amp harder with up to +20dB

I don't have much experience with the rockerverb (played one for a few minutes some times ago with a decent LP-like axe), but when I want more cut from my crawler-loaded Vox Custom 24 and my HRDx (plugged into an old 4x10 marshall cab), I reach for my Dano CTO1.

I would recommend an Xotic, also, but the BB Preamp. Separate treble and bass controls, you can use it as a clean boost or overdrive, depending on your needs. There is also the amazing Maxon OD-820, which as a tone control, but is essentially transparent. It can be used as a clean boost or OD, also.
If you're looking for something with more push, you should check out the Providence Sonic Drive.

The Maxon OD-820 is a great pedal, brighter then the Reeza, but soundwise more or less comparable. I will definitely look at the Xotic BB. I have a dual booster from Toadworks, but I like it only on the cleanchannel, not really on the drivechannel. Maybe another qualitybooster will do better on that channel. I will see if I can test also the Xotic EP (hard to find where I live in Holland) and the Strymon booster/compressor. Thx for the advice guys.
