Listening to a load of early Sabbath on the commute home... don't think I've ever appreciated how awesome he is...

i can never decide if him or keith moon is my favourite drummer.

some amazingly jazzy fills and drum breaks on the first album (the wizard for example)

Exactly!!! It was The Wizard that prompted my post!

LOVE that couwbell!!!  But also all that ambient, jazzy stuff on Black Sabbath.  Awesome.

He is a great drummer. Some drummers just have a thing that maybe us guitar players can't quite put in to words.
Clem Burke from Blondie was a great drummer, Topper Headon from The Clash & Jet Black of The Stranglers are fav's of mine too.

I like early Sabbath. Rediscovered Sabotage lately.
