Personally, I would avoid the Malekko-- that isn't based on the sound, but rather their customer service that i've found to be very poor indeed! The Carbon Copy is pretty popular and sounds pretty good from what I remember :)

I like my aqua puss and can thoroughly recommend that

Carbon Copy is a good tool and affordable, but can be quite dark with certain guitars. Just try some in a shop.

I liked the old Malekko delays. This new one is too fiddley.

The Carbon copy sounds very nice but I've read too many complaints about the reliabillity.

Can I throw another one in you list?

BBE Two Timer. It's based on the old Boss DM-2.

Strange you mention the boss aqua puss supposed to be similar

Odd - I've not heard anything but good things about it, and mine's great!

If you are using any type of amp distortion my preference is a unit that can handle effects loop line level.

I own an eventide timefactor and find it does not colour my sound & does some of the best delays I have heard inc digi delay, vintage and many more.

+1 for Timefactor... awesome array of delays, can be used midi if so desired... went through quite a few before stuumping up the big bucks for the eventide.. don't regret it though.

I'm very happy with mine too but it leads a quiet and blameless life at home so I can't really tell how it would stand up to serious abuse.  Had mine for about three years trouble free.

Scratch the echobase recommendation, getting some weird and wonderful noises from the LFO with the circuit bypassed today when teamed with some other pedals...

The byoc ping pong delay is really very good indeed mind you.

They're the only two I've really played with so far I'm afraid, sorry.
