Really easy, took me maybe a minute, worked really well.

Nice, that seems rather easy to do, and I liked how you showed the difference. I don't really need to do that to my guitar, since I've pretty much worn off the poly finish through sheer constant playing haha.

Seems like a really usable and easy mod. If you can call it a mod at all :D
What's the name of the paper used? I didn't catch it during the video.
-
It's not paper, it's plastic scourer. You need something like Scotchbrite ultrafine (grey). You can get it on ebay for £5 for more than you'll ever need, or try to score some from a friend who works in a body shop.

I want to try this on my Blackjack now. I'm used to gloss finishes but the 7 string neck is a bit bulky compared to my Horizon, so I might do this to compensate.

Could I use VERY fine sandpaper? I cant seem to find any scouring pads anywhere...

Hey, sorry to bring this topic up again but, can really fine steel work too?
-
Should do, but there's health and safety implications to using it.
