I want a neck pickup to my Carvin koa Telecaster with a Painkiller in the bridge.
What preferences has the Nailbomb neck?
I play modern metal/metalcore stuff and want a very articulate, hot, never muddy neck pickup, with great shredding sound and big attack. Guitar has full koa body and ebony fingerboard.

I'd look into the miracle man. I have one and its all the things you describe. But it's kinda dull on cleans and is basically a one trick pony as to what it does. But it does it very well lol.

There is, afaik, no ceramic nailbomb neck. Its an option I suppose, but when people speak of the ceramic nailbomb, its invariably a bridge. The neck is A5.
The neck you seek, and the only ceramic BK neck, is the Painkiller.
Edit: did I just imagine that you asked about the c-bomb neck? If so disregard the stuff above, except about the PK,which is the correct pickup for you.

Yes I know, that the Nailbomb neck has alnico magnet naturally. I'm just wondering that Nailbomb neck can do the sound that I want for agressive, but very articulate solos. I'm afraid of the Painkiller neck, 'cause I think it will be a bit muddy for my koa body, which is very similar to mahogany but a little brighter. I'm looking at the Cold Sweat neck, but I think it will be not enough hot and agressive as I want.

The PK neck is the least muddy neck I've ever used. Its tighter and clearer in the low end than a lot of bridge pickups

That sounds great for my ears! Tim told me, that Cold Sweat and Painkiller fits to me, but I think PK neck will be my choice.
Thanks a lot everybody!

You guys think that ceramic PK's would work well in basswood body being played through a Splawn Quick Rod?? I'm trying to tame some upper mids and brightness a bit as it stands... I dunno...

I can definitely hear the difference from pickup to pickup :?
Even though my 2 cents only but i thought PK's were supposed to be very prominent in the upper mids and the brightness department. That splawn amp is one killer sounding amp btw.
And congrats on the pups shotgun even though i probably didn't help at all lol
