Title: epiphone sighned by Jim marshall
Post by: monkeywalker on December 19, 2005, 02:26:44 PM
i have an epiphone es335 dot natural. it's sighned by sir jim marshall. i have absolutely no intention of selling it but i'm wondering if anyone has any idea how it may have affected the value ( if at all )

i personally feel it may have just added a sentimentle style value as i like it more now and i'm aware that there are a lot of marshall signed bits and bobs out there but i would be interested to here your opinions.

i bought it last year for £389. any ideas?

I got a letter signed by Sir J.M. himself when I bought my Park 10 watt practice amp about 10 years ago. Because he's alive I don't think his signature is going to make much difference. My Les Paul was signed by Jazz virtuoso Larry Coryell when I was a pupil of his a few years ago. I did it because I like him and because he plays Les Pauls...Jim Marshall was a drummer anyway....

Enjoy your guitar!!

while we are on the subject of hendrix, i was in Chester city centre the other day with my uncle and in the memorabilia shop there is one of the original vinyl copies of "are you experienced" sighned by hendrix himself. it was up for £4500. i love henrix's stuff and if i had the money i would pay that for it.

:o you must be quite a fan.
I have a few posters signed by ol' Jim. He's getting on a bit isn't he? i want him to sign my amp, but i'm not gonna get that to any guitar shows...
