Some of you will have seen the design we have for our own brand of strings
(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v662/felineguitars/1b081a3f.gif)
Well the good news is that we have gotten Vince Ray to put his twisted talents to our ideas for Feline T-shirts
Here is the first of the results to roll off the production line
It is an homage to T Rex / Marc Bolan with our own Feline stylings
Let me know if you like it......we have them in most sizes on premium quality shirts.

We are having strings made here in the UK by Picato
We have been using them for a few years and having them made fresh for us seems to work well.
We haven't yet got all the packaging ssorted - takes a while
We will have about a half dozen different packet designs to go with the different guges
9-42/9-46/10-46/10-52 and maybe acoustic 11-52 to start with.
I suspect that we will have the string packet designs done as t-shirts as well since the reaction to the first design has been really good.
We intend to keep the nature and quality of our guitar product the same high quality and keep on a constant improvement curve (just like Tim does with BKPs), but just wanted a sideline with a bit of humour/class/distinctive style.
I love Vince Ray's work and to get a chance to work with him was just too much fun to turn down

Check out Vince Ray's band, the Vincent Razorbacks.
I've just ordered the CD.

Are you taking t-shirt orders by phone?
-
I dare say that rules in all kinds of ways man, awesome! 8)

Jon, you could also have a couple of guitars painted by Vince. They look awesome! I know now how I want my future Gretsch painted. Or how about a Vince Ray style explorer? Flat black, flat red pickguard, dice knobs and cream zebra pickups. :P

We're gonna make a guitr in conhjunction with Vince
It should be very cool....
Chances are that it will be black and red!

Here's a little something I drew up today. I'm not sure about the dice knobs, should be skull knobs, I think. Flat black body, flat red pickguard, chrome harware and cream pickups n' rings.

Here's one that I just finished for a customer
This was started as a side project at the same timee I was making Tim's BKP explorer. This customer sadly was all set on EMGs .
I think it would have been awesome with some black covered BKPs
Maybe a Miracle Man and a Riff raff in the neck.

MMMM *does homer simpson drool*
shame about the EMG's but it could be a Metallica thing.
-
Can someone buy me a Feline guitar
-
I want one too!
How custom can it get bodywise?
-
ooo dear i really don't wanna know what's ticking up in Alex's (TooMuchHipHop) head! :o
He's mental that one!

I must admit to be in the process of saving up to afford a feline.
I havent quite finished laying out all the details yet, but basically what I'm gonna get made is a Silverburst lesPaul with as original as possible to Gibson specs. The exeption will be the scale length and neck shape. This will be a more Fender length and modern "c" shape.
When I'm finnished filling out the form I downloaded from your site I'll fax it through.
:D
-
Jp - that sounds like almost EXACTLY the kind of guitar i'd get made if i were to go to Feline. Order a couple will you? it'll save me filling in the form again...
-
I've been following that guitar on Feline's website. That guitar would be so cool with a set of those black covered Warpigs.

Can you imagine how cool that would be.....
We intend to do one in time for next years London Guitar show
Pretty much the same guitar as you see but with Black Warpigs (or Miracleman and Riff Raff combo)
But I also want to make another the same as the one we made for Tim - because it was just an awesome guitar and I will agree with Tim that the thin oil finish works really well.
BTW - if you have specs that you are working through - do send them tome or feel free to have a chat about them. Or post them as a thread - it is always interesting to see how the things are being planned and especially which Bare Knuckle pickups you are hoping to use to nail that killer sound.

It was a Metallica thing - the guy loves James Hetfield!!
Awesome guitar though and loaded with that BIG Dunlop 6000 fretwire that Tim uses
Mmmmm- NICE!

:D JP i`ve played one of Felines single cuts & i can personnaly tell `ya that Johnathon curves/tapers the back of the neck to allow easier access to the higher notes. although this is not what you`d get on a real Gibbo get it on your custom build it`s really really good & makes playing the single cut design a dodel !
Ask Johnathon to send you photos
