Title: wax potting single coils

it probably sounds stupid to a lot of you, but can you wax pot single coils just the same as you would with humbuckers? i've noticed that my telecaster has undipped pickups. it's a 1969 reissue, does anyone think wax potting them would destroy the sound? (warning!! that may also seem a stupid question to those of you in the know.)

No it is not stupid. Single coils can be wax potted- BKP tele bridge pups and quite a few other makers do too. It won't destroy the sound.
