I just had the thought of putting a patch cable across the loop sockets and pressing the +10dB button and thought this may work as a 10dB boost.
Is there any risk of this damaging the amp?
and will it work i dont wanna just try it as ive recently had a few problems with it.

Should be OK - people use EQs and boosters in loops. You're just hammering the powervalves a bit harder...

Well if you run a true bypass effect in the +10dB setting it's basically the same. So no, no issue with this, as long as it sounds good 8)

it sounds pretty good on the crunch channel but on the lead it takes things a little too far for my liking.
thanks guys
