I am waiting on 2 or 3 parcels that have been sent recorded delivery including a pickup.
The pickup i arent so fussed about as that was only posted 2 days ago but some of the other stuff has been well over a week now and all were sent 1st class recorded delivery.
I have phoned royal mail and they just keep telling me the packages are progressing through there system and this has been the status for over a week now.
Are there currently any strikes or anything?

Not that I know of. My BKP was delivered on Wednesday (having been ordered on Friday, then made!), and that was Royal Mail. Oxford, though. Whereabouts are you based?

Wakefield near leeds.
The BKP was posted a couple of days back ordered monday.
The reason i thought there was problems is more that the other items are long overdue
I guess i'll just wait out some more

No idea about anything concrete, but the last couple of things I ordered which were delivered by royal mail or parcelforce (they're the same concern, aren't they?) seemed to take a bit longer than usual. That was within the last couple of months.
I would contact them just to check it's ok, to keep yourself right (from the sounds of things you've already done that), and then just wait a bit more as they might turn up.

Aye i've contacted them and they said the parcels are on the way to me but cant confirm the definite location as recorded delivery is only tracked twice.

yeah, from the sounds of things you've done everything at your end- up to them just to deliver it. :)
