I did this as a request for Jonny obviously.
Having only ever heard the song once and it instantly put me off DT many years ago and ive never listened since.
So i just went ahead and recorded this from the tab with no idea how it was meant to sound.
so here goes.

Oh dear, sorry to hear that! Good clip though, heh, sounds about right. Might I recommend some other DT albums, as you have only heard one of their least popular ones?
Awake
Scenes From A Memory
6 Degrees of Inner Turbulence
Their last album was actually not too bad, they went on a downward slope after 6 degrees, as far as I'm concerned. They bottomed out with Octavarium and Systematic Chaos, but I think they brought it back to form with Black Clouds and Silver Linings. Some others you may wish to avoid are Falling Into Infinity and When Dream And Day Unite, which are both pretty weak save a few choice songs on ...Infinity.

Ah thanks for the recomendations.
a friend is actually bringing over the 3 albums you recomended as he think's it's obsurd that i don't like them.

Images and words is great too IMO (It was the album that got me into them - on the strength of which I saw them live at the Marquee)

THIS plus Image And Words :D
Also, I love your tone and playing. If Petrucci switches to use BKPs he would have conquered the world already
What amp are you using?

Its a marshall TSL601 being boosted on the crunch channel with a biyang od8 (probably the cheapest and best OD ive used i much prefer it to the ts9 i used to have)
And thanks for the kind comments in regards to tone and playing

Sorry, I keep forgetting Images! So I recommend that one too, heh. Earlier and more of the 80's / early 90's vibe going on it, but still a class recording for sure.
