Post by: monkeywalker on December 20, 2005, 04:45:04 PM
my friend was in florida back in september with his girlfriend. they were walking down a street to find a cafe to have some lunch and while they were walking diane( his gf) bumped into someone, so naturally she said sorry, the american gentleman replied "sorry, hey!, thats a place in England" i believe he was thinking of  Surrey. this has nothing to do with guitars but what an odd thing to say!!!!!!!!!

If you say sorry in the US, you're admitting to your fault. Prepare to get sued.

Different accents are a weird thing. My wife and I have different accents. Come to think of it, she has two sisters and all three of them are with guys who all have totally different accents to each other.

When Americans walk into you they say "Excuse Me".  Which always sounds rude to me, like what you'd say if you expected someone to get out of your way.

If you pass one you know they say "How you doing?".  But they keep walking as they don't expect and answer.
