:whistles:
For those who followed my adventures, the gibson goldtop reissue 1954 went back due to some mess in the electronic and dings on the body (it was brand new from an online shop). with the refund I fancyed another custom but in black so I found this one in Greece for less than 2000 €, brand new unplayed.
Its very light for a les paul, nothing scratchy nor messy on pots or toggle switch. Just needs some load of BKP, got a spare nailbomb but its too nice and warm sounding to put such a beast on it imo. :P

Cute, very cute :D

Love it 8)

Ya gotta love a black custom!

Black Custom..chrome hardware
has to be Cold Sweats!!!!
Nice score on the LP front.
-
Is that really chrome/nickel hardware, or is it a trick of the light? I thought Customs always had gold hardware (apart from the silverburst ones?)
-
Its nickel with VOS finish. (factory aged) Its a 68 reissue one from custom shop. There is also a nickel hardware custom les paul with uncovered pickups available in ebony finish.
John sykes way eh ? Why not, I'm really tempted to put the nailbomb in bridge though. I had cold sweats on my cherry custom I owned not so long ago, it was quite nice. I might stick to the vintage vibe the c57 provide, maybe some black dogs or that famous custom riff raff with a thicker a5 magnet.

That is a very attractive guitar you have there. I really like the black and chrome/nickel combo too. Don't think I've seen that before. Really cool.

my cherry custom has nailbombs.
I really like the black and nickel. The 'aged' look on the VOS' is nice, is just not polished up. I've seen a few with the black and nickel look. Recently I saw an 80's one like that. I get really tempted to increase my custom collection (from 1 to 2). That looks really nice

I'd probably go with Emeralds for a custom, they have that tone I associate with this guitar.
-
Great looking guitar.
-
Very nice, I loves me a nice black custom. Congrats.
-
Congrats, classy classic. Now a pair of Mules or VHII in it...

It's reminding of this (Cold Sweats in that, I think?) :D
this is the one that Afghan Dave discovered is a endless sustain machine

+1 as well!
So... my recommendation seems to be to put 2 sets of BKPs in it??
