Title: how would i adjust this diagram for a coil split/tap
Post by: Transcend on November 09, 2010, 05:46:33 PM
Ive attached the wiring diagram for the standard ibanez wiring but i want position 4 to just be a coil split/tap (not sure of the correct term)

as i dont want to have to get my magnet reversed in my neck pickup as it is in the original ibanez neck pup.

thanks guys

If you're wanting to split the neck HB that's going to be awkward to do if you want to also keep the serial/parallel switching on it also. You'd probably only be able to do it with a fender super switch which will allow you to do pretty much any combination of wiring you can think of.

Its just the bridge humbucker that im wanting to be split alone i dont want it to also have the slug coil of the neck pickup on that switching option

Without getting my hands on it, I don't know what that switch is doing where. Sorry about that :( It does sound like it might be possible. I still stand by that if you can get a super switch in there, you can wire the 5 positions to do whatever you like. They're wonderful things.
