Hi there !
I own a Gibson SG Standard and I'm a great Classic Rock French fan. Could you help me to find a solution to :
- sound like Clapton's Woman Tone (enter "Clapton and his SG" on Youtube, he's the one who mde me buy this guitar) with the neck pickup (kind of flute-like tone, with good dynamics)
- sound bit like a Les Paul in bridge position, a la AC/DC (very punchy, high definition, but not too harsh if possible), just like a boosted PAF Maybe ?
What pickup combination could I choose ? (notice that I also rally like the dynamics of a P90, would a Mississippi Queen be correct for this Woman Tone in neck position ?)
Thanks to help me to choose the right combination ! (by the way, I'm not espacially searching dor BKP, so if other ones can be better...)
B (I'm French, plrase dont blame me for my English :D)

Hello!
How about an Alnico IV Mule in the bridge and an Alnico II Stormy Monday in the neck? That should do just what you want :)

Ok, thank you for answering :P
But - has the Mule this necessary corpus, this definition and this power (against a Gibson Angus Young Signzture for example) ?
And I didn't hear much about the Stormy Monday, does it hve (do both Mule and SM) have good dynamics, power ? what about a Mississippi Queen neck PU ? how is it against the SM ?
thanks ! :P

The Mule is a medium output PAF with clarity. It will be very AC/DC like. A bit more power and top end would be a Riff Raff.
The Stormy Monday is perfect for Woman Tone, not so much power.
You can't have everything from one set of pickups!

Thanks a lot, it seems to make a good set ! :P
