Hey guys :D Thanks for last time. My jack(sionz) fusion pro ended up with a Bill Lawrence L500, a perfect floyd adjustment & a sand papered neck for free. So im more than happy with it now.
Well now im getting myself my dream guitar; a Gibson flying V.
First of all this guitar is the epitome of swedish death metal :D and i want that sound to the extreme(i got both pedals btw ;) )
I want this guitar to Cut through like a razorblade through a factory made of shite & butter. An almost Emg like compression, just without the clinical touch and boring low end.
I was thinking to get another miracle man. But this pickup dosent do it fully for me anyway.
-
oh btw. Where can i get a nice single humbucker pickguard? :D
-
Ceramic Warpig.
-
Good call dude :P
How do you think the Aftermath would be in this guitar?
-
Great in the grand scheme of things, but its very uncompressed for a high gain pickup. Nowhere near EMG compression.
-
well i mean punch and clarity. capable of knocking in some teeth on the front row, and dealing with accurate trem picking
-
Aftermath fits the bill then.
-
I hope so :P if it dosent. then the aftermath will definetly fit my baritone
-
Really though, if you want to sound like Gothenburg in 1990 (which I presume you o since you're talking about "both pedals") just pull any pick up from any guitar you can find in a skip and make sure your amp is a bit broken.
I love hellish sounding Swedish death metal nonsense. Carnage and Nihilist etc. Great.
-
you are right :D
-
c-bomb?
and a cold sweat for the jackson
seriously
it kicks the lawrence's ass in every aspect

Buy two old Boss HM-2 pedals, an Industrial-grade blender and two pickup covers and some starch.
I guess you see where i'm going with this :D
Anyways, regardless what the outcome will be here, I can guess pretty easily who gets put to work putting the new pickups in
-
Lol everybody. This is Christian, he's my co guitarist in our band :D Say hello
-
I think im actually going for the C bomb this time :)
-
Satan approves of this.
-
Ben from bkp reccomended me a Painkiller. Im not gonna follow that advice since imo the painkiller is too dry sounding for what i have in mind. I want a very, very wet sound. Think C-pig. I just dont want as much bass at the c-pig. If i just could get a match between the miracle man and C-pig
-
Ceramic nailbomb is your best bet
-
Then C-bomb it is :)

Oh and by the way.. PICS :D
The "vulvuzela" case.. or the giant balalaika

Well im going to order a new pickguard with only 1 humbucker, 1 volume & 1 input :)
And i think the black battleworn pickup will look absolutely killer in this beauty :D

never discount the painkiller, I've had fab results in a mahogany v. DJENT.
-
Haha but i dislike Djent :D
What im after is like an enhanced Super Ceramic. I really, really like the stock pickups in this guitar. I just want something which has more clarity. I play riffs with drones & rhythms over. With this pickup the drone will usullay take up all the sonic "space"

In terms of tones, that's a million miles from what Madaskre is asking about though
-
NFE is so right :P One of the problems i see with the painkiller is thats its too dry, not full bodied enough. What i want from this guitar is like a HUGE natural tone(which it is acoustically) what would suit this guitar would be tone definition, gain and black battleworn ^^
From what i hear from people is that the Ceramic is exactly that.
Is the Ceramic Nailbomb:
Organic?
Hot?
Clear?
Ballsy?
-
Organic: more than you expect for a ceramic, but not terribly.
Hot: Oh yes.
Clear: yes
Ballsy: very
-
Good. Im gonna order it mid-december :D then it'll come with my single humbucker pickguard
