Bargain, you could part it out for more than you've paid if it a pile of rubbish!

Cant argue with the price
the trem isn't a double locking one - the strings just thread through from the back, but could be easily changed to a Gotoh one or whatever

I thought it was a double-locking trem, but no sweat, we'll see how it works out - should fill in the hair metal gap in my collection.  Could even put a Korean floyd on there, the one on my Mockingbird is ok as it happens in the end.

When the body is solid wood, it's a good price.

if anyone knows the spec for this guitar, I'd be grateful of them posting it - body wood, neck wood etc...

What can I say? I like to look a beautifull guitar as much as I like to look some pretty girl's legs :D

The pickup in there is of unknown origin, doesn't sound too bad at all really - would work better with a modern amp with lots of gain and tone shaping as opposed to my archaic amp creations   Unfortunately, the humbucker is microphonic though, so it'll need a wax-bath.  I have a Gibson Dirty Fingers pickup ready to go in it anyway, so thats not a big deal.  I also have some single coils coming from Jonathan at Feline, so it'll be complete soon (yay!).

The one thing that needs immediate attention is the bridge - gonna need a new double-locking floyd bridge (doh!).  This is just a single locking system with the strings fixed in the bridge via their ball-ends, so divebombs don't come back up to tune.

The neck is nice though and the frets are too, plays really nice.

All in all, for £67.00 I'm over the moon.

For that price, it's fraking cheap even with the problems you'll have to solve!

Playing a cheap guitar is kind of exhilarating and a bit disturbing at the same time.

It sounds pretty good, it doesn't matter if you break it but..... you start wondering why you spent all that money on "better" stuff.  :?

You only get a girl if you buy the USA made ST3 and you buy it new.

mine has a B9824 serial number, so that makes it a what year ???

btw, the trem isn't up to scratch, so another £50.00 for a new floyd looks likely (doh!!!).

I DO like how the guitar plays though and the neck is nice, plus I always wanted a pointy headstock BC Rich from when I saw Slayer playing them in the SOH days.

The Dirty Fingers sounds darker than I'd like - can imagine it'd pair up better with a higher gain amp rather than my plexi-inspired amp.

Months down the line this one, but I've only just got this playable TODAY.

The first floyd was old and worn out.  the second floyd was cheap and unusable.  the third floyd got here today - another old German-made floyd, but you can see its barely been used (no black paint worn off the fine tuners).

The best bit is.... IT STAYS IN TUNE, woooooo!!!!  :D

I've got the Dirty Fingers away being wax potted, so its got a cheap BC Rich pickup in it for the time being (which sound alright in fairness).

What BKP singles would fit with the Dirty Fingers best? - I prefer the softer/woody tones from A2/A3 single coils and not overwound ones either.

Gonna gig this baby asap and let out the whammy bar animal in me

I remember this one. Lookin good, man. It's always nice to bring one back from the dead. These little projects of ours always seem to take a LITTLE longer than we hoped for, huh?

maaaaan, you said it.  been driving me nuts trying to get this sorted.

at least its been set up and had the frets dressed, so its plays really nice now too.  not the usual 'cobbled street' affair like my other guitars.
