sorry about the title but i really need help. i've just bought an abraxas humbucker (bridge) and a PRS 5way rotary switch whic splits the coils in different ways.
i'm fitting it to my tokai SG which has 2 volume, 2 tone and a standard selector switch allowing the option of Bass- bass+treb- treble.
i want to wire up the new bridge pup and the existing neck pup and wiring in the same way as the PRS custom 22.i.e 1 volume, 1 tone , 5way rotary switch.
i've been on the PRS web site but it doesn't show how the whole thing is wired, just the 5way switch. and thats fine but i don't know how the volume and tone are wired to the five way switch.
i assume i should by pass the selector switch which on my guitar sends everything to the jack socket.
does anyone have the full schematics/diagrams with everything from the volume and tone to the jack socket wiring??
i really need you're help guys and i know some of you really know what you're doing.
also i've got the coil tap diagrams off tim and they don't apply to the switch i've bought.
it's from 1995-present
by the way, the abraxas has 4 conductor wire but the existing neck only has 2 conductor wire. can i still do it with just 2 conductor on one of them??
cheers

Not necessarily.
Being a holiday weekend, repsonses will probably be slower than usual, monkeywalker. Sit tight and the cavalry will soon arrive!!

Nothing is simpler than volume and tone, look on any Tele schematic, the hot from the rotary switch should go to the left hand tag on the volume pot (looked at from the underside), and a wire from this tag also goes to the left hand tag on the tone. From the middle tone tag, run a capacitor of the chosen value to the right hand tag on the volume pot and from there to earth on the back of the pot. the middle volume pot tag goes to the live on the jack socket. Run all earths to and from the back of the volume pot and you have a working system. For an example, look at this - http://www.fender.com/support/diagrams/pdfs/ASTELE_ASH_MN/SD0118502APg2.pdf

One problem is that you can't wire the PRS settings without being able to split the coils in both pickups. 3 of the settings use one coil in the bridge pickup and the other coil in the neck pickup. Another problem is that you need the screw and slugs to have opposite polarities in each pickup. When you get a set of pickups from BK and specify it is for a PRS with the 5-way, they will make them this way.
To do this you need to reverse the magnet in one pickup. However, the neck pickup still only has the regular wire. Your best bet might be to have a tech wire you a 4-core wire and reverse the magnet in your neck pickup.
