Title: need help identifying pickup
Post by: ijustdontgiveaf on December 04, 2010, 04:34:05 PM
Hello everybody,

I have just bought a used Les Paul (Custom Shop 68' RI) via a store.

The previous owner installed a bare knuckle humbucker as bridge pickup, however nobody couldn't tell me which exact model it is.  I have taken the pickup out today, however all it mentions is "Bare Knuckle Pickups"  and " Handwound in the UK".

Is there any way to identify this pickup?

thanks in advance
Chris

If you measure the DC resistance of each coil, the BKP lads should be able to identify it with reasonable certainty.
