Anyone get any guitar presants? I only got socks and a woolly hat!
-
Nah. My parents are the kind that think 100 euros buys a guitar and amplifier....So they gave me 100 euros, but that's how much I gave my sisters so I broke even. No presents for me this year from them as I'm away 1,000 miles away. I did have a fantastic christmas with my friend's family though. Just as good as with my own, an amazing time.

no guitar pressies for me either. No musical pressies at all in fact- apart from a book on photos of the Beatles ( from my brother who is a pro photographer- he did not take the pictures btw). I did buy my Country Boys as a pressie to myself though.

my dad bought me an abraxas bridge pup with four conductor wire. i'm gunna wire it up to a PRS 5way rotary switch but i have to have 4 conductor wire put on the existing neck pup.
i had a good day yesturday, not as good as last year coz i got a 1969 telecaster. my dad is a big guitar fan as well so we usually want the same thing and then chip in together.
this year was different coz he wasn't interested in new pups

hiscox case for my orville LP. great case, and the name sounds funny too! what could be better?

It's Erlewine. :) I got the book from my grandmother. Well, she gave me money and I bought the book. I also got Logic Express 7 with money my parents gave me and I'm tearing my hair out trying to learn how to use the damn thing. Plus, my wife gave me a subscrption to Total Guitar, my second favourite guitar magazine (I already have a subscription to my favourite one, Guitar Techniques).
So I got lots of guitar-y things this year! :) No BKPs for me, but I don't have anything to put them in right now anyways. There are only so many pickups you can get in the one guitar. I'll have to wait until I can afford a new guitar. I wanna build one from Warmoth parts next year sometime.

Joy of joys :D Korg GT-12 tuner and DHF Superior Custom & Vintage drum software. HJM if you read this feel free to send me any programming tips you may have.

Got my Bennett lap steel. Only thing I have to do is fight the urge to stick a Bare Knuckle in it :D
-
I got the G3 in Tokyo DVD. Bloody amazing. Better than the last one.
More dvds, some cd's (nevermore and malmsteen), a smart sony mp3 player. Some other stuff too.
Now i'm just waiting for a guitar from Jonathan Law (Feline)
-

Don't fight the urge! :o
I got a Nailbomb and a Hotplate. SOUNDS INCREDIBLE
-
A MM bridge to complement the mule in my LP! I took the Lindy Fralin I had before and stuck it in my 7-year-old sisters first guitar (her present) - a half-sized tanglewood strat. I should be writhing around on stage with both in the new year.
-
I got a burnt chrome miracle man! I'd never installed a pickup before, but it wasn't too hard. I also got a guitar technique encyclopedia from my brother, which he got at the acoustic avalon show.

Don't fight the urge! :o
Resistance is futile, so I'm not *really* trying. Already talking to Tim about what would work best, it was originally a toss up between Apache or Irish Tour, now I'm thinking irish Tour or Mothers Milk... I think its a new one on Tim too ;)

Very nice! What's it like?
-
In two words - very loud! It's sound and tone makes you think that it is packing more than it's two watts, but let me assure you, it's a feisty little devil! :)
However, by using the controls that it has you can get a wide range of tones out of it, from clean to screaming overdrive. Don't let it's diminutive size fool you, it's a monster!
-
awesome, march! i'd very much like to hear it some time.....*cough*SOUNDCLIPS*cough*!
-
March man... that looks sweet (in a cute sense and in a awsome typa sense)
