Awesome! :D
-
Looks great, dude!
Mark.
-
The only thing that remains is a proper setup. I'll do that when I'm back from work :)
The BKs sounds awesome!
-
Looks fantastic- congratulations.
-
That looks really good. A really well chosen mixture of parts that complement each other so well. Nicely done, sir.
-
So many nice guitars popping up on the board... Well done.
-
Looks lovely, and I'm impressed you put it together so quickly!

-
Looks customshop. Very beautiful!
-
Finally! Looks good!
-
I recorded an old song I wrote.
Warning: This is not recorded with an amp, but with an amp emulator on my computer.
I will record it with my diezel once it's repaired.

I was amazed you hadn't said it already. :P
It'll all be different in 2011. New year resolutions and all that....
-
Yes! that is tasty!
-
looks really nice, how much did it all end up costing? - are we talking Suhr/Tyler quality for a fraction of the cost?

Thanks Jon, I'll have no problems with the putting together (eventually) but I may well take you up on the set ups (beware - stainless frets!). :)

Ended up at 1600 dollars. The quality is without doubt top notch. I've played Zion, Tom Anderson, Don Grosh and Suhr, and this one is one of the better strats I've played!
-
that looks badass
-
That's some nice playing there and good job on the parts selection. I like how the bridge isn't ultra-shiny. Suits the guitar well, doesn't stick out. :D
-
Can you take more pictures in natural light? :)
The finish is brilliant. And at least once you complain about your postal service they deliver. Unlike over here, they're psychic or something and hold it for even longer :P
-
Turned out nice. :)
-
By the way, just listened and still listening to the clip. It's bloody awesome :)
-
Yo, nice clip. I hear the vocal qualities of the Crawler. Love that puppie.
-
It looks fookin gorgeous. Well done!!

hows the fret job on the neck? do you think it needs a fret dress? do you find the fretboard edges have a bit too much 'edge'?
-
There is no "fret job" on Warmoth, if you mean "fret dress" or "rounding the edge of fret"...
People that play with high action usually ain't need a fret dress, but people who play with low action needs a small fret job... I think I've heard only once a guy saying he needed "major fret dress", actually it was a "one time kinda of poster", so I ain't get this very seriously
-

I can't comment on this guitar obviously but on the Warmoth neck on my current project the fret board edges had way too much edge for me. I used Wez's video demo on rounding the edges to take off as much as I needed. I guess it makes sense for them to leave the edges sharp. It's easy to take a bit of wood off it's not so straight forward to add it back.

In my opinion, it doesn't need a fretjob. They doesn't feel sharp but you can sense that they're there. As mentioned earlier - it's easier to round the edges than adding edges.
-
How do you like the stainless steel frets, sir? Do they live up to the reputation? Real smooth bending?
-
They are really smooth! Bending feels like cutting through butter with a hot knife!
I'm going to do a setup of the guitar today. Setting the action, intonation, pickup height and so on.
The only thing I don't want to do, is cutting slots in the nut. I'm running 0.11 strings on it, and it seems like the nut is slotted for 0.09 strings. I guess I'll just lube it up until I take the guitar to a tech for a professional setup, but that has to wait until next year :)
And regarding the sound clip.
The crawler is used on the rythm parts.
Singlecoils used for soloing. They sound awesome!

We don't have that rule in norway that you have to keep the parts under your bed for a certain amount of months
-
Looks and sounds great fella! :D
