Title: What went wrong with my JP wiring?
Post by: cross on December 29, 2005, 01:22:23 PM
installed my Crawler set yesterday in my SG.

first of all: WOW! They're soooooo awsome Tim!

second: I've used that diagram: http://www.guitarelectronics.com/product/WDUHH3T2204

and if I engage the neck tone for the series with bridge option and have the bridge crawler selected I don't get any or hardly a sound from it... is that normal or did anything go wrong there?

I have had some trouble doing the JP wiring on my Black Dogs in my Edwards LP.

There are a load of diagrams on the net, but lots are wrong, I have one which is an easier to follow version of the one on the Gibson site, I don't know for sure wether it works, but I got it from a guy who uses the JP wiring in a couple of LP's

Another thing is you will need some 4 conductor cable for the toggle, the two outputs, usually soldered together need to be split for the some of the phasing to work.

I can send you the diagram I have if you want, PM me an email address if you want it to check against what you have.
