Subject says it all, I'm getting a Fender Highway One Telecaster with a Rosewood Fretboard and I need some BKPs for it.
What do I want?
A Bridge Pickup that is able to cover a large variety, going from TellyTwang to Metaltones.
Question is: Blackguard 50 or Piledriver? Both samples sound great to me, but which one handles low tunings better?
A Neck Pickup that gives a stratty neck tone. I recently saw "who did you think I was" from the crossroads Festival and I love John Mayers Neck Pickup sound on that record!
What would be your choice?
Thanks for your help guys :-)

I'd say BG flat 50 bridge and Bg flat 52 neck, those descriptions pretty much describe exactly what it says on the new site - theres even a modern metal clip of the flat 50 and the neck is said to be 'almost strat-like'

The BG52 neck is just what you want for stratty tones, and the new BGF50 bridge might indeed be more appropriate for metal tones while still pairing ok with the 52 neck.
Also think of doing the 4-way switch mod, gives you the neck+bridge serial option which really rocks.

I agree. BG50 bridge and 52-neck is what you are looking for.

Seems clear what to choose ;-).
I was also totally impressed by the BG50s modern metal sample, wouldn't have expected a tone like that.
I will definitely do the 4-way wiring, should be standard for Telecasters in my opinion.
Thanks again guys ;-).
