I have a VHII bridge pickup and I would like suggestions on a neck pick up, I have another set of VHIIs and A VHII neck paired with an Emerald, so I would like something different! I'm not happy with any AIV, so, I have after listening to the new clips narrowed it down to Coldsweat or Rebel Yell! any suggestions would be welcomed.
Pickups to be fitted to Eggle Berlin 22HT and used for pop/rock (nothing too heavy) through Mesa DC5

What kind of tone are you looking for? Something smooth and fluid, or defined and attacky?

I really like the VHII and HD, so, I suppose smooth and fluid, I'm quite happy with what I hear with the RY and CS, out of all the BKPs that I have for some strange reason I'm not happy with Mule/Crawler neck pickups!

Gotcha. Well, personally I think the RY would offer a voicing more in keeping with the VHII bridge, but if you specifically want a more modern tone then the CS is a great contender.

The RY seems like Nolly says more in line with the VHII.
What you particularly don't like about the AIV-neckpu's?

I really can't explain what it is, I suppose I'm a AV player!

What I read is that the AIV-neckpu's don't cut trough like an AV. I'm just interested cause I really like Mules.

Yeah!it is probably the mids, I changed my Mule neck over to AV and it is now doing it for me (paired with a BD)

The Rebel Yell sounds great in the clips, though I've never owned one. I have had a Cold Sweat neck pup and loved it. It had loads of cut with tremendous articulation. It was certainly modern in its voicing yet somehow it seemed to retain quite an organic, smooth feel to it.

By the way, my VHII bridge pup measures 9.2k! I'm leaning towards the RY!
