I have been on the lookout for the perfect combination for a strat, i love the dimarzio blue velvet in the bridge but have been stuck for what would be the perfect companions in the neck and middle positions... help me out guys!

It might help if you give us some examples of the sounds that you are after from the neck and middle positions. :)
-
Oh yes, it would. I'm after a nice fat sound in the neck, quite punchy, and something inbetween fat and quite hot in the middle. I play fusion to hard rock (think smashing pumpkins) to blues (SRV style). It's important that the pickups retain good clarity :)

BUMP :)

Try the Slowhands as they seem to be the power you're after and will give you that fat tone you mentioned. Having said that, single coils aren't really my thing so hopefully someone like Nolly will come back and give you a suggestion.

The Slowhands will certainly give you a fat and punchy tone. They're not the best choice for woody, hollow SRV-style tones though - they are intended for rich and singing strat sounds along the lines of Clapton etc. Nonetheless, they are still very much single-coil in sound and I think would be the first port of call for you based on the information given :)

Thanks everyone. I think i'll look into getting some slowhands.
