Where's gwEm when you need him?
I'm not normally a fan of V's, but I'd happily have that in the collection. Noice axe.

+1. Can't usually stand them, but I like that.

Nice,
Miracle man Bridge, Cold Sweat neck!

+1 - sounds good
I have just put a pair of MM in an Epiphone Gothic V and it sounds really good, although the CS neck would be a nice touch
-
I scored a set of aftermath, will see if they go on my esp or Vee.
-
I was aware of the Gothic 2 model - good score! :D
I fancy a Voodoo, but it would need to be cheap :?
-
I love the Voodoo finish so much but I hate that cheezy red skull inlay :(
-
I went for voodoo looking pickups to get closer to this look. Might change the knobs too for something meaner or vintage (witch hat fTW!! :))
But Voodoo's are expensive and the ash body on such a guitar is really not my thing. For having heard a voodoo explorer model I can say putting a holy diver in it is almost a real need. Its nothing like the gibson usual sound, its way more bright , even too much.
-
Try to get the knobs like on the Voodoo (i.e. no hats)!
Like the guitar!
Miracle Man would be my choice too.
-
a voodoo V went on the bay for the 6-700 pound region today. would still be nice to get one a bit cheaper, though that is more or less a good price.
-
That's about what I paid for my Voodoo Les Paul. The Voodoo's aren't that common, one in very good condition probably won't get much lower in price.
-
great purchase
my friends gothic V was definitely in the top 5 guitars I've ever played
-
Nice!!

Looks good.
An excuse to post this (ignore the inlay!)

that inlay could always be temporarily sorted with a black permanent marker...
I love the look of the voodoo line but i absolutely hate how the back of the neck feels

Fav guitar series of all time. I would kill to get a V or explorer

...which for Marauder means:
Run. Run, and don't look back.

Run Forrest!

No need to run, just hook up your aftermath axe and play an open drop riff, the guy will shake and fall down from an eargasm. I'm wondering if its tightness could frighten burglars at night.
I also think I'll rename if to 'Call of Whales' because its the first pickup I can get such instant squealies with so much presence. Its so easy to make harmonics yell even on a .60 B string. :P
After having told aftermath seem reserved to djent addicts I must say I wrote faster than I played it. The neck is pure velvet and mids, better than the nailbomb neck (yes Eric you read it, I said something is better than the nailbomb :p), less hollow feel, sounds more deep and lovely. The bridge is just bone crushing and organic sounding.
Also the magnet is freaking strong. I noticed that I had tendency to push the strings down when playing heavy palm muted riffs. The magnet made them go further and I had to lower the pickup as it did not stop to get catched in the bolts. It produced a very middy snarl :D. I was like uh, that the aftermath mids ? Then I noticed my lower strings were glued to the pickups bolts.
Surprising pickup and far more versatile than it seems. I'm aftermath'ed too.

Looks very nice!
I need to sometime sort out my Voodoo with a new pickup... but for now it's not on my priority list.
