Title: PG Blues or The Mule
Post by: Pavlos on January 17, 2011, 12:25:08 PM
I am in the process of upgrading my Epiphone Les Paul Custom, it currently has push pull pots to switch to single coil, I am going to change the wiring to 50's style with bumble bees capacitors. Cannot decide whether to keep the push pull pots, and which pickups to change to, either PG Blues or The Mule. I am a big PG fan, but not sure whether I should go for a all pickup instead?

I'd go with the Mules simply because they are so versatile. Most of the advantages of the PG with none of the limitations.

If you are keeping the push pull pots, then the Mules would be the way to go.  If you like the Peter Green out of phase sound and want to change the pots, then the PG Blues would be the way to go.  Depending on your amp and set up, they have plenty of gain to cover most Blues and Classic Rock (including Green Manalishi).

Mules. And you haven't to change the push-pull.
