Any advice on the differences between the above would be very helpful. I have a BC hard-tail strat which apparently has a Fender modern C profile. The neck is o.k but i was considering having it shaved a little by the chaos at Feline guitars. As an alternative I could get a replacement neck (and keep the original in case of a resale) and I have been wondering a) would a charvel neck be much different from the fender modern 'C' b) would one of the new charvel necks fit a strat b) if so where would I get one!

I hope that's a typo and you meant to say chaps!

^
when you say charvel, do you mean the new(ish) USA charvel production models? I tried a bunch of them, and the neck reminded me of a fender us standard strat neck, though a bit flatter in radius and a bit more modern-feeling.
It was a while since I'd tried the fender neck, though, so don't quote me on that  It's just what it reminded me of when i tried it.
EDIT: i'm not sure if they'd fit or not.

Sincere appologies to the guys at Feline for my typo! I meant 'chaps' not 'chaos' any neck ideas still welcome.Having tried an Ernie Ball MM silhouette recently I loved the neck. Are they asymetrical?
-
I dont think that the silhoette necks are asymmetrical - but I know the axis ones are
I do like the oil finish on them though - like what we do on our bolt ons
One option could be to have a neck made - although not the cheapest option
But it would be made to fit
-
yeah the axis ones are asymmetrical- not sure about the silhouette either  They're completely different from charvel style necks, though, they're a bit narrower at the nut.
