Title: Question about camo (and pickup compatibility)
Post by: ratspeak on January 25, 2011, 10:56:11 AM
Hey everyone. So as you guys may have noticed I have a little neck-pickup GAS. I'm not completely feeling it with my neck-Warpig. It's great, but I'm starting to wish I had something a little less hot. My main question has to do with the covers. Priorities are priorities.  I have battleworn camo Warpigs. They look great, but I'm a little worried about ordering a different pickup to match with the bridge. I noticed that camo covers tend to vary from year to year. Will I be able to get a neck pickup that doesn't look out of place with the C-Pig I got last year?

Now that that's out of the way I also wanted to get some recommendations from you guys. I already have the Aftermath-neck with a ceramic magnet, so I'm not going to get one of those or the similar Painkiller. I've been listening to soundclips and I'm most taken with the neck-Nailbomb tone. My second question for you guys is, is 13k too much of a gap? I think this question is a little redundant as I've seen Cold-Sweat/C-Pig sets before. I just want to be absolutely sure.

The Nailbomb neck should balance happily with the c-'Pig, especially once you play with their relative heights.
Regarding the covers, I think the best option is to simply email BKP a picture of the covers you have and ask them if they have anything close. I'm sure they'll be more than happy to help you get the look you're after.
