that's really nice!  those are Dimarzio's P90 size humbuckers i presume?  which means P90's will fit too?

Yeah, P90s will drop straight in, the neck pick-up is a Dimarzio 'Virtual P90' and the bridge is a 'Tone Zone' that's just the pick-ups I use as standard unless someone wants something else  :D

Don't know if anyone has noticed that I router the pick-up cavities at a angle? nothing worse than a P90 pick-up that doesn't follow the strings.

There's loads of pics of some of my guitars on here  :D

I've been thinking about getting some locking grovers to fit my charvel. I'm tempted by the non-locking nut + locking tuner approach to using a floyd but I was pretty much putting that idea on the back burner due to not being sure about getting drop-in replacements.

I saw that, nice touch!

What do you do if it's a dogear pickup, use a shim to angle the cover?

I like to make a surround so it looks like a dogear for that classic look, but it also means you have a much bigger choice of pick-ups to use  :D

Great looking guitar as usual Paul!  If only I had some cash.  I'd snap it up and throw some mini humbuckers in it...

nice guitar! i've quite liked the looks of your guitars ever since twinfan here got one. nice twist on a classic

need i mention those planks, if i dare call them so, are made out of gorgeous pieces of wood. really nice!

the UK has so many great luthiers. when i fly over the pond i need some cash, as i'll order a lion from john, a fan fret 9 string monster from wez, and a SGR from Paul. nice going you guys!! :(

Hi Paul,

It's a beauty, that. It'd just speak under my credit limit, too, once I've got my credit card paid off (again)

Out of interest, why the locking tuners? I've always found standard grovers to be pretty bombproof...

that SG jr-inspired guitar is REALLY nice - I have a soft spot for junior Gibsons.

+1 your take on the SG jr is absolutely gorgeous. Even though it's just a photo, you can see the quality of workmanship in your guitars.

TBH mate that guitar was put together for a mate of mine, he's already got a few of my guitars and saw a single cut I made and he asked if he could have the single cut instead of the SGR. He's never really been into SGs but loved the guitar when he saw it.
I'm going to take the locking machine heads off because it stays in tune with no problems anyway.  :)

Normally I take a small deposit and then the person who orders the guitar gives me what they can afford every month, when the guitar is all paid for they receive the guitar.
Just makes it possible to buy a custom made guitar without breaking the bank lol.
Depends on how long someone wants to wait for the guitar...how much they will pay each month. Always the case that someone will try and pay it off as soon as possible  :D
