Title: Wrap around bridges
Post by: ToneMonkey on January 27, 2011, 05:02:22 PM
I've been floating an idea around in my head for some time now and thought I'd finally do something about it.

Does anyone know what the shortest wrap around bridge is (i.e. height from the guitar top to the strings) as the idea kind of depends on getting a small one.  I'm not really a fan of recessing it.

Cheers dudes

Does it need to be an intonatable one?

A Les Paul Jr style wraparound isn't as thick/tall as a Tonepros adjustable one.  I'm not sure about things like the Badass bridge.  I think they're all fairly low profile.

Ideally I would like to set the intonation, but the overall height/thickness is the potential show stopper.  I could do the idea with a fairly tall one, but it would probably look terrible.

whats it for TM?

iirc a pigtail adjustable wraparound is fairly low profile at about 13-14mm from base to top of saddle, and you could probably knock a mm of that by slotting the saddles

It's a secret and I'm not sure if it will work yet.  I'll send you a PM about it.

The Wilkinson one is not very thick and has a bit of adjustment.
