Title: Painkiller vs Miracle Man vs C-Nailbomb in B tuning
Post by: dheim on February 06, 2011, 03:47:39 PM
the keyword here is SLOPPINESS. it was meant to be a quick test and ended (as usual) as something a bit more complex, but playing is terrible, and i ask apologize for that.
but - although the difference between the three pickups are much less apparent than in the uncompressed cubase mix - i think it gives an idea...

PK: ibanez S 470
MM: ibanez RGA 121
C-NB : ibanez RG 7321

of course the three guitars are enough different to bias heavily the result. my favourite is the MM, maybe because i prefer the RGA over the other two... everything is recorded using a PODxt, my playing is much tighter with my amp, but it doesn't like at all the PK, so it doesn't sound this damn epic in real life... :(

I like the Painkiller sample the most.

C-Nailbomb and the Painkiller are great, I would love to hear the same riffs with the Aftermath though
Anyway, nicely done!

I liked the MM the most even if it remains my favorite modern BKP bridge pickup to me its tighter than the two others.

my playing was tighter, and this biases the "test" a lot! ;)
