I was going to post this too!

So now he's got to look for sanctuary from the law.... So give him sanctuary from the law and he'll be alright.   :P

We did a tour of NZ with him last year, seemed like a right f-wit

dunno about the evidence of him jumping round on stage. I did see him try to jump in one song and he got a good 2cm of air, rest of the time he hobbled around like an 80 year old drifter, hardly a prodigal son
strange world

hard cheese, fraud is fraud except when the bankster class do it, in orders of magnitude greater than this , but
alas not even a court case against them :x

'twas ever thus... [From the 17th century]

The law locks up the man or woman
Who steals the goose from off the common
But leaves the greater villain loose
Who steals the common from off the goose.

The law demands that we atone
When we take things we do not own
But leaves the lords and ladies fine
Who take things that are yours and mine.

The poor and wretched don’t escape
If they conspire the law to break;
This must be so but they endure
Those who conspire to make the law.

The law locks up the man or woman
Who steals the goose from off the common
And geese will still a common lack
Till they go and steal it back.

wise words there. Paul should be grateful he didn't commit fraud in those days, because who knows, he might have been put in the Iron Maiden

I was following this case & thought it was quite interesting that the prosecution made a big deal of how he didn't need to claim benefits because of his "fame" & "fortune".  Eh?  Every project he's been involved with since leaving 'Maiden (30 YEARS ago!) has been a failure.  He probably is hard up.  Still doesn't excuse fraud though - at least hs pleaded guilty...

Once he's out, he can live Another Life, jail isn't Purgatory.  Some have said he should have got longer, but not me, I'm no Genghis Khan.  Prison will be hard for him though - lots of Killers, Prowler(s), Drifters in there...

(sorry!)

he'll probably be back on benefits when he gets out. though it probably won't be fraud that time round.
Probably harder to get the same standard of life back if you have a criminal record. Guess it depends on the crime though.
