Rhythm guitars are done with a Painkiller in the bridge of a Strat. Quad Tracked. No lead yet, sorry guys.

That is quite different from some of the other clips I've heard of yours here on this one part of the forum. I suppose the PK does well to combat the mushyness you were saying that Peavey model of yours has. I bet if you started a thread in the Tech section some of the amp modders here could help you with that. E-mailing info@peavey.com will result in a schematic if you ask nicely. They haven't ever denied me, personally.

That's very kind of you, but the guys over at the Ultimate-Guitar forms have spent a while figuring out what the best mods are for the Valveking, they've even made a wiki space for it: http://ultimate-guitar-valveking.wikispaces.com/
I honestly think that it sounds so loose because I'm recording without an interface, adds some noise which makes it muddy.

are you boosting the amp? I have always found recording metal at home volumes sounds mushy and horrible without a good boost (i prefer a clean boost) in front of the amp just to push it into tightness that bit more.
You have some really awesome riffs in here keep up the good work!
