He's a great guitarist. Followed him a while. You will see that he plays this kind of stuff in every clip, no matter it's a tele, a strat or les paul. you never hear play chords or rock out. But he has a great tone, lovely sweet style and he records superb.

Telerocker summed it up nicely : :) I checked Gregor's gear / style out before I went over to the Jazz project - and loved every bit of it. I like that meaty - yet supple tone he gets from his 11s and Fender Amps.
Great post Dave - and just think, every video you posted probably increases the re-sale value of your guitar by at least £1,500 per vid !
As Billy would say ; "Fine ... " 8)

Gregor uses Fender-amps (often Vibrolux), but also Brunetti Singleman, Koch Studiotone. Guytron-combo (GT20/40). Hook R20/R40, an old Kittyhawk etc. He changes/sells gear often.

Here's another great sample of the sound it can do

Yep, Gregor can certainly play. The git!
Mind you, the Rev's cranked out a few nice tunes over the years...

I have watched him many a time and he is a very tasteful player. The clips that Dave has posted are indeed a great example of someone getting the very best out of an instrument and his feel is so damn good. There are also some great clips of him playing 335's- actually there are great clips of him playing anything. I reckon he'd make an elastic band stretched over a shoe box sound sublime.

Nice post Dave,

Nice tone but, Jesus the playing is boring and the guy looks like a tool who isn't having fun.

Lately I saw a smile on his face when he was playing a Ritchie Kotzen signature-tele.

Seriously? I thought it was full of emotion, as the original Blue Jean Blues is :?

great playing, great tone.one of the reasons i like SRV so much is the tone, he makes it sound like a 'guitar'.so does this guy.
there are sometimes more interesting things to listen to than blues/rock styles but to me players like Vai trade off
some of their tone in order in order to have that 'light touch' fluidity.
lower gain, big intensity, that's where it's at for me.

errr ... I got two minutes into the first clip and I thought he was flat on every single string bend!
sorry

Must admit, I wasn't that taken with the first clip neither, Frank
What I did think was - hey what's that strat in the background? He sounds more like a strat-player to me, he's trying too hard on a Les Paul, he's used to fighting a strat...
Then I noticed links to strat clips - and yep, he's very tasty on that.
But the ole LP does sound quite sweet though :D
-
Gregor is indeed first of all a Strat- and Tele-guy. Which I like.
-
I'd be more impressed if he made that guitar and amp sound bad to be honest!
For what it costs, I'd be pretty p!ssed off if it sounded less than awesome!
-
OK so which BK do yall think is the pearly neck equivalent and also how bout the bridge? but if I had to pick just one I would go neck

Me too tbh!
I know just because something is expensive doesn't necessarilly mean it's good, but damn, how gutted would you be if your £4500 guitar sounded like ass 8)
