Title: What Kind/which Cable to Use on my 4x12 cabinet/5150 head?

Hails Guys... i´m really worried about What name, which model, what brand of Speaker Cable should i buy to use with my Marshall 4x12 1960 and the 5150 head?!?!!

You could use twin core mains power cable, or anything that's bigger than 16awg that will work. For better tone you could go for George L speaker cable, or Monster, or something more esoteric....I've got Kimber 4TC that was left over from my HiFi, I hust soldered two jack plugs on!

My speaker cables are red and black audio cables I think, with a regular 1/4" jack on each end!

Looks good to me, wire the jacks up so both ends match and you're in business!!

I've got a Pete Cornish cable from my amp head to the cab (if its good enough for David Gilmour its good enough for me  :D ). I've got a planet waves cable for when I use my attenuator.

Do they make a big difference? I've got a Piranha one from the amp to attenuator and a standard one to the speaker.

The reason I've spent good money on cables is because I know how much of a difference cables can make in a hifi. Also spending a bit more money means it is likely to last better. If you are spending a grand or more on an amp then it seems silly to buy a cheap cable as frequencies will get lost if the cable isn't properly screened.

speaker cable generally isn't shielded - theres no reason to go 'hi-fi' daft with speaker cable, just some decent gauge stuff will do. I use Van Damme cable and Neutrik jack plugs - solid and won't break the bank.
