Deciding between all of the above in an alder-bodied hard-tailed strat is very difficult! Nailbomb sounds great but I wonder if it will be a little too aggressive for my needs (not a metal player) Holy Diver sounds cool too but is it versatile enough and the Rebel Yell seems to be more of a choice for mahogany bodies! Help!! I had wanted to change the mid (Chopper) and neck (BC something or other modelled on an Air Norton - hate it!) but may have to wait a while for those. Any suggestions?

If you're looking warm thick lead tones. I would go for the HD, cleans up well too. NB is more agressive, RY's might be too bright for your guitar.

What Telerocker said.

Definetly HD out of those options JMO. And it's very versatile as well.

never tried, but HDs are perfect in alder superstrats, they say...

i have an a5 nailbomb in my les paul studio and i love it. its grindy but still organic. its bright but not annoying.

We're talking alder strat here. I think HD is the better option.

^This.
From my experience, Naillbomb is more at home in mahogany. HD for Alder/Ash.
