Post by: steve@russo on February 25, 2011, 12:42:19 AM

so the third lug that goes to the tone pot, send that directly to the ground on the input jack correct?

I think you might find that on the seymour duncan website :
http://www.seymourduncan.com/support/wiring-diagrams/
http://www.seymourduncan.com/support/wiring-diagrams/schematics.php?schematic=HSS_1v_5w
HSS, 1 volume, 5way switch.
Hope that helps  (and that it is ok to post link to the seymour duncan site on this forum.. sorry if it is not, just trying to help)
Best

I post links to Duncan wiring diagrams all the time, they're very good.  :)

Steve, just remember BKP's humbucker colour codes are different - green and white taped together, red to switch, black and bare to ground.

so on the bkp diagram there is a grey line on the bottom that goes to the 3rd volume lug and then to the tone pot, just follow as normal and ignore the tone pot?? Maybe I will put a tone pot in, is 250k gonna sound like cr@p?? Everything I see on here say 500k

I never use tone pots but I still fit them for cosmetic reasons. Just follow one of uncle Seymour's diagrams, remember the colour codes may be different for your pickups and leave out any wires that connect to the tone pots.

Which two grounds? I can only see one ground wire on the 5-way switch.

I just common all the ground wires to the back of the volume pot. So in your diagram, wherever you see the ground symbol you can just solder that to the back of the pot.
