Post by: Ian Price on March 06, 2011, 07:33:39 PM: Does anyone know of any good UK sources for getting hold of guitar templates? I've got some wood available to me and would like to get on with cutting out some guitar like shapes. I'm mainly interested in body templates as I seem to have a little addiction to rubbing sandpaper over curvy bits of wood until nice and smooth.

More specifically it is real templates done on masonite or MDF that I'm interested in. Would be good to know of some sources within the UK that do stuff like this.

i do the route when the neck blank is still square and use the edge guide on the router along the square edge of the neck blank

The trick with the piece of copper to protect while drilling electronics holes was good to know. I really need to work with a softer wood. He's taking out a half inch at a time with his router, lol.
