While looking around the Australian Ebay I see quite a few of these guitars from china. their base price is around $20 but shipping is like $450! this still woks out alot cheaper than what you would pay. I have seen many Ibanez Jem's that would normally retail for around 1200 pounds sterling but sell for around $20AUD with $460AUD

can anyone comment on the reliability of these guitars?
Thanks

It doesn't meet Ebay listing rules - you're not supposed to inflate the sale price with shipping as it gets round final value fees. Not much info on the JEM, you might end up with at best a 555, worse a random Ibanez from the bottom of the range!!
Usually when it looks to good to be true, it is!

the combination of:
sketchy inflated postage price
dodgy chinese seller with broken english
no real photos
seller accepts western union (*fraud ALERT)
there is no reason why a genuine seller's item's would carry all these hallmarks.

Yeah, it looks dodgy and I'd avoid it.

dude if you look further down it says "it's very lifelike" and it keeps going on about chinese artworks. Basically sound like it's a little model or sculpture of an ibanez. it happens all the time on ebay in the UK. My mate bought a phone but it was jsut a picture ona sheet of paper!!!! Don't buy it seriously.

don't buy it. i've heard some really bad stories of people being conned - guitars are too expensive to risk if you have any doubts.
