Title: Anyone try a MM Neck in the Bridge position?

Just curious to see if anyone's tried a Miracle Man Neck PU in the bridge position?
I know I probably shouldn't draw comparisons to EMG's...but I never liked the 81...however I used to love the 85 as a bridge PU. So, I've wondered how the A5 loaded MM Neck would work as a bridge PU.

Should work fine - it'd essentially be a handmade/scatterwound Suhr Aldrich bridge pickup built with higher quality components :)

I've read quite a few posts that the MM bridge sounds more like an 85 than an 81(but not really either), but I'd check on that.

no, they don't sound like an 85

the bridge version is bassier and smoother than the 81, but not as middy as both EMGs, not as fat as the 85

the neck version is more like a dimarzio tone zone or something, but less compressed and nasal
kinda like a slightly more compressed holy diver with less high end
it does work well in the bridge, but really depends on your guitar
