i own a agile 8 string intrepid with an emg 808, now im really wishing i had bought one with passive pickups. i want to order an aftermath, but im just wondering if it will fit in place of the emg. also what should i get, 4 conductor or 2, im not sure what the difference is but i only have one spot in the guitar for a pickup, so im not worried about putting another in there

Hi,
Welcome to the forum!
As regards 2 vs. 4 conductor: 4 conductor is more versatile as it lets you wire the coils in series (standard wiring), each of the coils singly (which will give a brighter tone but will not be humcancelling) or in parallel (which will also give you a brighter tone than standard). The 2 conductor will give you only both coils in series.
I would get the 4 conductor to keep the options for future use.
Cheers Stephan

thanks, i read somewhere else that a person with emg808s didnt have a problem with it fitting, they just had to trim the mounting ears some. what are the mounting ears exactly? im guessing their those little things on the sides that attach it to the side of the guitar, lol sorry about the noobish questions, ive never switched out pickups before. im taking it to a guitar tech for him to change it out and everything. so he will probably know all that and shite, im just trying to make sure about everything before i buy one

the ears that you refer to are the pickup legs.
From people i have known who have change emg707's they have to get the pickup legs bent inwards slightly then the bases of them flattened out again.
But other than that they fit
