i think the title says it all.. GUTTED!!!

my guitars are now taunting me.. 6 weeks... and counting!!

Ouch, that's not good. Just don't rush back into playing too fast or severe pain may ensue.

I've not been able to play much for the last 6 months, I've had "frozen shoulder" so my left arm's been almost immobile. I compensated by doing a lot of tracks in Cubase/Reason, getting into a lot of electronics projects and generally finding other creative outlets. Just keep blowing the dust off the guitars for a while.

That's bad news but as Frank has suggested try and get into something else creative - it may well help when you get back to playing again!!

Bad timing Dave, Bad timing. had to happen when we finally get a drummer interested....

I believe its the right hand from the photo i got sent on the day of injury and i will say it looked nasty then so i dread to see it now!

ah that sucks, hope you get better as soon as possible.

I'm always scared I'll damage my hands or whatever

Though I guess, looking on the bright side, 6 weeks isn't *that* bad- and from what you're saying, you'll be fine to play again once that's over?

Something like tendonitis or carpal tunnel might be worse, where it's the actual playing which is causing the problems... that would be extremely annoying. :(

I feel your pain-having shoulder surgery next week....having the other shoulder cut on in June....
we will make it...just a bump in the road :)

cheers guys, im pretty amazed at how much it doesnt hurt.. but that might be a bad thing.. its my left hand.

i cant wait for it to be off.. get back on the guitar and in the gym
