A while ago I posted a cover of Opeth's "Harlequin Forest" with POD Farm. It sounded ok, but I think I've gotten a better sound now on "Demon of the Fall". It's a little shorter than normal, but I couldn't be bothered fiddling with the drum track in Guitar Pro to get it exact.
Guitar is my Cort X-11 (basswood super-strat) with an AV Nailbomb bridge and Cold Sweat neck.
Bass is my Indie Swamp 4.
Drums are Steven Slate's Dream Theater kit.
Line 6 POD Studio GX interface.
All amps and effects came from POD Farm:
Distortion is the Plexi Jump Lead and JCM models with the Tubescreamer in front and a little reverb.
Cleans are the Piezoacoustic with reverb and flanger at the third break.
Bass is the Ampeg model with some compression.
Anyone has suggestions (particularly with drums) let me know.

Sounds pretty okey dokey but slow it down man. Great song btw.

When I started I thought it seemed a bit fast. By the time I fully realised I wasn't up for re-doining it right.
Thanks though. It's one of my favourite Opeth songs. I was a little disappointed they didn't play it when I saw them with Dream Theater

I love demon of the fall when they played it at the roundhouse. IMO, it's the best song to end an Opeth concert. I can't wait for the new album this fall too!

guitar tone is good, but as i suggested before you need to put some mahogany behind that nailbomb! ;)

Thanks dheim.
And it's done - I picked my guitars up from the shop yesterday with the pickups swapped.
Nailbomb/Cold Sweat in my Tanglewood and Miracle Men in the Cort now. Both sound glorious! :D
