"Cryogenic Treatment of Pickup after final assembly
Permanently aligns crystal lattice of all materials and removes stresses introduced during manufacturing of raw materials and winding and final assembly of pickup
Normalizes internal structure of the magnet(s) for more consistent gauss strength across all strings and from unit to unit
Aligns internal structure of the magnet wire, further reducing losses and increasing efficiency of pickup"

Oh Lord, that video was the one that persuaded me that if someone ever said, "Here's a preposterous amount of money, I insist you spend it on a boutique amp immediately", I'd get a Trainwreck. There are things Henry Kaiser has done that are very cool (and not guitar related) but this video ain't among them.
Regarding the pickups, I'm waiting for the platinum ones. Silver is for cheapskates.

Henry Kaiser is someone I've read a great deal about in Guitar Player over the years, he always seemed a very intelligent and erudite chap. And yes, he has some very cool day jobs (Antarctic research diving and film work with Werner Herzog), which was enough to impress me.
But I never actually heard him..... until I saw those videos. :| I thought it was a joke at first, like Herman Ri....

That's the cool stuff I was think of.

avantgarde. ok. but kerry king has got a better melodic taste and sounds way less chaotic... immortal t-shirt is cool, anyway.

derek bailey! i removed him, thanks for the reminder...
maybe it's just me, i'm a retarded close minded metalhead and i just can't understand that stuff, but to my ears it's just people playing random notes - exactly as i did when i first touched a guitar, when i was 9...
kaiser can actually play something (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xdR9_hziOC0), nothing i'd die for, but at least in the beginning of this vid there's some sense in it...

yeah. it's quite easy to play random stuff with no tone, no rhythm and no melody to speak of, way less easy to do it in front of people without blushing. i think that's some kind of talent...
