Title: Line 6 M5
Post by: tomjackson on April 12, 2011, 09:37:02 AM

Has anybody tried one of these?

Or have any experience of the M9 sounds or M13?

I usually prefer analog effects but my Delay and reverb are digital anyway.  I'm thinking this could replace both and my tuner with the plus of saving space, connections and and having loads of extra effects.

Had an M13, sounded GREAT.

But it was too big. So the M5 would be right up my alley.

But the Midi out cannot be configured as Midi Through, and I wanna have it on the board, sending my controller midi through the M5 to the rack. So it needs an extra split box, which is pretty lame ...

seems like an extra switch on the front would really make it easier to use - but for the number of expensive effects available on that thing its got to be worth a punt

I really like the look of this new pedal.

I've been looking for something small to sit on the top of my Splawn that can be controlled by MIDI for when I can't be bothered to drag around my G-Major Rack FX. Looks like this may fit the bill  8)

Gassed and got one.  It sounds great, there's a lot of stuff I won't use but most of the effects sound really good and for an analog tweaker like myself it's really easy to use.  I'll be using it mainly for reverb, delay and the tuner but the chorus and trem are also excellent.  Even the drives sound good although they won't replace my nice hand dirtboxes.

The Two Rock Studio pro 35 I tried it through probably helped though, fortunately I didn't gas on that..

Check seconds out for reverb, tuner and chorus pedals!
