I need a 7 string humbucker for the bridge for a Carvin DC727 with a mahogany body, magogany neck and walnut top.
I play progressive metal and like the tones of Tool, Opeth, Dream Theater, BTBAM.
I was thinking a Nailbomb?
Im playing through a mesa roadster which is basically a dual rectifier except a bit smoother and a tad darker

Yep, a Nailbomb would be an excellent choice indeed :)

Do they fit in the Carvin? I read some issues about this. Consider that alnico Nailbomb will be warmer and organic sounding, thougth still agressive in the uppermids, and the ceramic version will be tighter. Maybe that's a good thing for a 7-string.

I had an Alnico Nailbomb in my old Carvin DC727.
All mahogany with a maple top and a maple board and it sounded killer.
Now having said that if you want something just a little tighter but with the same type of tonality
try a Rebel Yell 7.
I recently put one in my Ibanez Rg7CT (mahagany body maple top) and I absolutely love it.
